Born around 1855, in Anzin; died in 1925. Médard was a pupil of Jean-Marie Reignier at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Lyon. Although little known today, he was a very popular artist during his lifetime for his still lifes. He began exhibiting his works at the Paris Salon in 1878.
