Elegant pair of cabriolet armchairs in gray lacquered wood with delicate decorations carved with foliage. Backrest in hollow trapeze with detached, tapered and fluted columns, topped with a tasselled gendarme's hat. Armrests with cuffs on carved and fluted balusters. Straight tapered fluted legs. Armchairs covered with beige silk brocade (Italian edition). Assorted silk piping. Beautiful patina. Very good general condition. Origin France castle furniture. Louis XVI - Directory period.
