Magnificent pliers - pair of sugar scissors by Boin-Taburet, in the 19th century.


The clamp is solid silver. It is in the style of the 18th century with its branches formed by curves, small buds and its extremities in the shape of shells.
The pivot is enhanced with flowers.

The piece is stamped:
. Minerve 1st title before 1973 for silver 950/°°
. Goldsmith hallmark: GB with a Stool for Boin Taburet.

The Parisian goldsmith house created in 1860 by the association of Georges Boin and Emile Taburet was considered one of the most prestigious until the beginning of the 20th century. Its production is typical of the end of the century with a return to the honor of the style of the 18th century, considered the pinnacle of taste, aided by contemporary technical means.
The Boin Taburet association lasted until 1900.
