Charcoal Drawing By Henry Bataille 20th Couple Of Dancers

Here is a dancing couple made in charcoal by Henry Bataille, French playwright, poet and lithographer (1872-1922). Bataille illustrated some posters of his plays and executed many copper and wood engravings. The technique and movement of this work are beautifully crafted. For the state, we report stains on the protective glass, a broken corner of the frame (top left), some freckles and bites on the drawing. However, the work remains in a presentable condition.
