Non-perforated palmette hilt, characteristic of late production, stamped on the top of the tray with three illegible hallmarks and the Versailles bar. Foundry marks under the palmette.
Herringbone braided filigree blackened leather handle. Cap bearing a C punch (Cazamajou reviewer?) and the verification V. Ferrule stamped with the same C.
Lame à la Montmorency marked on the back "Mture Imple du Klingenthal Coulaux Frères", bearing the hallmark B of Jean Georges Bick controller at Klingenthal from February 1809 to the end of 1811 and the starry hallmark M of Inspector Marion in office from December 1808 to May 1811.
The brass scabbard has the two splints consolidated with two riveted reinforcing rings .
This weapon, in good condition, in a beautiful patina, can be dated from February 1809 to April 1810
NB: the blades were engraved Manufacture Impériale from January 31, 1806, they are dated from April 1810. The openwork palmette disappears around 1807. The whole is therefore coherent.
