Late 15th cty
Rare and superb pair of stone carved caps from Gothic period.
Parts of columns or capitals, 2 grotesque busts seem litrally to spring from their base with a grinning, funny expression.
The 2 hold in their hands a chain ending with a rosary / a cross
Very good condition and very nice patina (light layer of foam on surface of the stone, not interfering with the readability of the subjects)
These 2 gothic period architectural parts can easily serve as a base to present par example a statue, or even used as real architectural elements.
Sizes around 24* height 36cm * depth 40cm for the 1st
and 24* height 35cm * depth 36cm for the 2nd
