Carved and gilded wood mirror Italian work mid-18th century circa 1750

A beautiful and exquisite carved wood mirror, openwork and gilded with gold leaf. It features an attractive carved decoration of interlaced ribbons, acanthus leaves, and rose garlands. The pediment is carved with foliage and burst pomegranates. The mirror ends in goat feet.

Interesting mid-18th century Italian work circa 1750, from a Palace in Ponzano.

In fine original condition. Mercury glass from the period. Small wears to the gilding.
