Sacred art, Shroud of Besançon, first half of the 18th century. Polychrome silk embroidery spun in gold on a cream-coloured satin background. The faces are painted, as well as the red dots of passion on the Shroud. A bishop accompanied by two canons present the printed Holy Shroud of Christ. Framing of garlands of carnations and roses. Embroidery brought back from the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, indications from the family on the back in pencil, bubble glass and period frame.
