French. Landscape painter, gouache painter, watercolourist.
Pupil of Harpignies and Pradelles, he began to participate in the Salon of French Artists in 1887, obtaining several medals.
Knight of the Legion of Honour. Highly influenced by Corot and Théodore Rousseau, he painted landscapes in bold layouts and an enamelled palette.
