"Large Vernet Mantel Clock, XIXth Century"
Beautifully crafted in finely gilded bronze, it is neoclassical in design. The movement is mounted in a large drum with superb lion mask shaped handles and a large urn at the top. It rests on an elaborate and heavily modeled base, with scrolled acanthus supports and strong fluted corner columns. A laurel wreath hangs below the dial. The original gilding is clean and shiny, with barely any signs of wear and discoloration. the clock is being revised by our master watchmaker.
