Rough Sea By Adelmo Ciocchetti (italian Impressionist, Active In Monterosso By Spezia)

Impressionistic seascape by Adelmo Ciocchetti, the representative of local painter circle in Montorosso Al Mare at Spezia in Italian Liguria, it was executed in 1946, was exhibited and awarded with a prize at the VIII National Painting Exhibition "Golfi della Spezia" (due to the original exhibition label on the back of panel). We found not much information about artist but it's known, that he was one of representative of Liguria painter school, painted seascapes in impressionistic manner.
In addition to the above exhibition, his paintings were presented in 2019 at the exhibition ”RAFFAELE VIVIANI AND THE PAINTERS OF MONTEROSSO” ( see following link:

Inscription: signed and dated (19)46, lower left , on the back of panel - original exhibition label of VIII National art exhibition ” Golf i della Spezia) with artist's name and original title (all in Italian).
Technique: oil on wood panel, original period frame.
Measurements: unframed 18.5 x 13 cm, framed 26.5 x 21.5 cm.
Condition: good original condition.
