Spontaneity, life and color for this pretty gouache made in Spain by the Provençal painter Pierre Favre.
The work in excellent condition is offered in a pretty modern frame (under invisible glass) with a "rust" patina which measures 54.5 cm by 43.5 cm and 40.5 cm by 29.5 cm at sight for the gouache alone .
It represents characters discussing in an alley of Toledo in the company of two mules.
The work is signed, dated 1933 and located "Posada de la Hermandad" Tolédo at the bottom left.

Student of the National School of Decorative Arts from 1924 to 1925, in 1931 he was part of the Artistic Society of Hérault
in 1938 from the Society of Independent Artists – 18 rue Mazarine, Paris, France
And from 1948 to 1949 at the Union of Artists of Provence in Marseille.
