Nice country atmosphere. Under a summer sky, near a house in the fields, a peasant leads his cows under the supervision of his dog. Jules Jean FERRY (1844-?) Painter born in Bordeaux, pupil of Gué, JL Brown and Cabanel. Exhibitor at the Paris Salon then French Artists and at the National Fine Arts from 1869 to 1905 hunting scenes, countryside scenes and some genre scenes and still lifes. Medalist at the Salon and at the Universal Exhibitions of 1889 and 1900. Works at the Musée du Petit Palais in Paris Oil on oak panel 32x44 cm Indications of place on the back difficult to read: My (house) ..., Chemin du Cimetière, Lafenes. ..?
