Double metal is the 19th century name for silver metal. A difference separates them, the doubled metal corresponds to a silvering on copper, whereas the silvered metal is on brass or white metal.
Good general condition, note some scratches, small shock on the top and marks of desilvering on the handles on the sides, on the gadroons of the foot and on some motifs of the central handle. This is an object that has really been used!
This work is stamped, lined with the initials HK and a grasshopper pierced with an arrow, the second hallmark 10G.
French work from the beginning of the 19th century, made by the goldsmith Henry Kindberg master silversmith between 1820 and 1830.
