Parisian Fireplace Stopper , Glued Paper, Napoleon III Period

Superb and modest object, quite rare to find,  screen calculated to block a fireplace, and thus hide it, out of season, while giving a style to a living room in a Parisian building from the end of the 19th century. (I hear the oak parquet creaking)
On wooden frame with stretched hemp canvas, a collage of period wallpapers with a black background and gold decor, presents on centre a large childish chromolithograph: birth of a vocation of painter… Charming object. Condition, superb at first glance; but putting on the glasses, we see that the black paper has aged, and is peeling off in places, an intervention will be necessary...
