Rare collection of the first 3 states of this original chisel, printed on BFK de Rives vellum.
Dimensions: Copper: 425 x 275 mm - Margins: 510 x 330 mm. In the lower margin, in pencil:
The 1st is justified "1st state" on the left and signed on the right, the 2nd is justified "2nd state" on the left and signed on the right, and the 3rd is justified "3rd state" on the left and signed to the right.
The final state (not offered here) was printed in 20 numbered copies, signed and dated "41" in the plate.
Very good state.
