This 17th century sculpture of God the Father (Trinity) was part of a Throne of Grace.
Seated on a throne, he held in his open hands the cross where his son's body lay. He is represented here alone and is easily recognizable by his gestures and his clothes.
Hands outstretched palms open forward, he wears the triple crown tiara.
His face is framed by a long wavy beard and he has the calm, almost appeased gaze of the Father giving the gift of the Redeemer.
He is dressed in a long loose dress with pleats, tight above the waist and revealing the tips of his shoes, and a red cope.
Hollow back, formerly reattached to an oak panel.
In good condition with gaps, split.
