"Demi-lune Commode, Louis XVI Stamped N. Petit"
Louis XVI chest of drawers in the shape of a half-moon in wood veneer: Rosewood in the reserves, amaranth in the frames, fillets made of wood tinted green and boxwood fillets. It opens with three drawers, the narrower upper drawer and two drawers without crossbar. The amounts are with projections, they are extended by legs in sheath finished with a bronze shoe. the veined white marble top is molded with a fillet. Ornamentation of gilded bronzes such as: pull rings, keyholes and clogs. It is stamped by Nicolas PETIT (1732-1791) master in 1761. Workshop in rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine with the sign of the "Name of Jesus" Parisian work from the Louis XVI period. A half-moon shape and interesting dimensions, very good state of conservation.
