Beautiful pair of original Biedermeier bergeres in Austrian cherrywood circa 1830. Cherrywood and solid veneer, hand-polished with shellac (French polish). Studded legs in solid cherry wood. Square tapered tapered legs at the back, curved outwards. "C" scrolls on the front of the armrests. Curved back in veneer, fixed to the backrest when seated. Newly upholstered in a black and white striped bouclé fabric reminiscent of a beach towel. Dimensions: H 86 cm, W 66 cm, D 57 cm, H seat 46 cm
