"18th Century Sterling Silver Jug, Montpellier 1781-1789, Paul David Bazile."
Pear-shaped silver jug or chocolate pot resting on 3 skate feet with strong moldings on the outside, plain body, roll-up thumb rest, domed lid topped with a spinning top grip.
Excellent condition, piece repolished by a goldsmith, beautiful shine.
Punch of charge and discharge of Montpellier for 1781-1789.
Master silversmith: Paul David Bazile received in 1766 in Montpellier.
No monogram.
Dimensions: height: 22.5 cm, maximum width with grip: 20.8 cm, belly width: 10.8 cm.
Gross weight: 751g, net weight without handle: 663g.
