Maurice Wagemans (Brussels, 1877- Bredene, 1927), Belgian painter. He studied at the Brussels Academy with Jean Portaels and Jean Stallaert from 1890 to 1895. He perfected his skills with his friends the painters Alfred Bastien and Frans Smeers in Paris.
He painted landscapes, seascapes, genre scenes and still lifes.
Impressionist style. In 1900, Wagemans exhibited at Le Sillon circle. Trip to Spain in 1903. He participated in the inaugural exhibition of the Galerie Georges Giroux in 1912.
The painter became a member of the New Society of Fine Arts in Paris.
