Jean-Girard-Théodore SAR, was born in 1724 and was received master on October 1, 1766. Established rue de Lappe in the Faubourg Saint-Antoine, he worked for a number of colleagues including Coulon and Dubuisson, as well as for merchants haberdashers. His production consists of furniture in natural wood and stained wood but he also made some more luxurious furniture in marquetry like our chest of drawers. It seems to have ceased its activity a little before the Revolution.
