"A Curiosity: A Lying Collar Button For A Man's Button Box Art Nouveau Art Déco"
Modest but nevertheless rare circular button box intended for men's toilets. Made of metal, decorated with gadroons, it is surmounted by a grip in the shape of a button resting on its head - and not vertically - thus allowing the lid to be lifted with ease. Its interior including the lid is covered with an original green felt. End of the XIXth beginning of the XXth century. Dimensions: Diameter: 4.2 cm Height: 3.6 cm Good condition. It is old and has been used. In its state of discovery, with its patina of use and dirt mainly on its lid (see photos). The round of felt which took off from the box is to be glued back together.
