"Emile Jacques Ruhlmann (1879-1933) Art Deco Table "elegant" Model"
Rare authentic Art Deco period pedestal table model “Elegant” by Jacques Emile RUHLMANN (1879-1933) designed in his workshop by his own master cabinetmaker Maurice Pré (1907-1988) who received technical education from the Ecole Boulle including he will leave in 1924 to enter at Ruhlmann where he will remain until the death of the latter, that is to say for eight years. Precious table with a structure in rosewood veneer with a radiating circular top bordered by a carved ring resting on a faceted shaft giving rise to three arched and tapered legs ending in gilded bronze clogs. Remarkable quality and good state of conservation. Dimensions: 67 cm high X 51 cm wide. Provenance: Our pedestal table comes directly from the heirs of master cabinetmaker Maurice Pré.
