"Bay Of Angels 1946 / Ludwig Klimek"
A Polish painter from the School of Paris established on the Côte d'Azur, Klimek energetically paints antique naiads with postures borrowing from Jean Souverbie. Its round design and its dreamlike environment immediately distinguish it. Dated 1946, it is one of the first works painted by KLIMEK on the French Riviera and as such remains of particular interest. His antique naiads that would make him famous in the 1960s are already fully sketched here. Located, dated and signed, it also bears a location and title on the frame.
