Joseph François Victor Chemin (1823-1901)

Joseph François Victor Chemin , was a French sculptor , born in Paris on August 2 , 1823 and died in Neuilly-sur-Seine , July 24 , 1901 .
A pupil of Antoine-Louis Barye , he specialized in animal sculpture .
V.Chemin began at the Salon of 1857 , where he exhibited his works until 1894 .
He received a 3rd class medal , sculpture section , at the Salon of 1882 .
