The hexagon is the basis of the composition of this piece, built with double mihrabs, in a geometric shape with stairs.
In good collectible condition, it measures one meter thirty wide by two meters sixty long.
A large floral medallion accompanied by two pendants is placed on a brick-coloured field, decorated with a staircase at the ends.
The black spandrels have undergone oxidation due to the black dye used in the 19th century.
Oxidation found on many Anatolians with black color.
# The wine color, very present, is obtained thanks to the use of madder root, acorns and wood ash.
# The curry-like color is obtained by mixing yellow pirene, wood ash and madder.
# The moss or lichen green was obtained thanks to a skilful mixture of vase and acorns The border is made up of stylized flowers of the most beautiful effect taking up the colors of the whole.
These floral motifs, medallions, fields and borders were knotted in the tradition of "Siebenbürgen", carpets from Anatolia of which the Christian churches of Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria were sponsors.
Siebenbürgen's most important collection is located in Brasov, in the Black Church (formerly Kronstadt) in Romania.
