Democratic Republic of Congo, Luba people, 1960s, very pretty carved wooden statuette with dark patina depicting an ancestral figure. The character is represented standing, hands resting on either side of his stomach, legs slightly bent and serene face with half-closed eyes. Beautiful quality sculpture. Height 15 cm (17.5 cm with the base of the later period highlighting it, will be attached to the shipment).
