Second Empire, officer's sword of the dragoons and cuirassiers of the guard, XIXth century. (1852-1870). Gilt bronze frame with filigreed spindle in silver thread. Oval pommel chiseled with radiant sun, flattened on top with rivet button adorned with a leafy chalice. Joining arch depicting plant stems and escutcheon with foliate decoration. Indented keyboard tray in front. Triangular type blade signed on the heel of the blade by "Couleaux et cie à klingental" and bearing the marking of "DUCHER à Paris, rue Richelieu".
