"The Snake Charmer"
Magnificent and important 19th century bronze representing a young native charming a snake coiled on his arm, controlling his gaze movement, and guiding it with his wand. It is one of the most beautiful subjects produced by Eugène Marioton, famous at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century for numerous monuments and public commissions. The bronze and its patina are in excellent condition.
