"Old Tunisian Weaving Collected In The 1940s"
Woven piece, of Tunisian culture, with a multitude of colors, as well as gold or silver thread. the variety of patterns, colors, the quality of the realization with an extremely tight stitch, make it a fascinating decorative element. this is what the people who collected and framed it in the 1940s must have thought (the frame is still closed). It is also what protected the fabric which in new condition, despite the weather. Moreover it is likely that this one being rather thin is folded inside the frame (it is curved by the thickness fu folding) and therefore much larger than what we see. AT
