Superb and elegant South American bench from the 19th century in rosewood. It rests on 5 claw feet on the front, linked together by fretted crosspieces. The sides are adorned with finely carved panels surmounted by scrolling armrests. The openwork backrest is made up of large openwork uprights carved with acanthus motifs and different foliage on each of them. Work of great finesse and in excellent condition, seat redone and lined with linen fabric.
