"Pair Of Love And Satyr Candlesticks In Gilt Bronze (candelabra Candlesticks)"
Pair of Louis XVI style candlesticks with tree sconces in finely chiseled and gilded bronze. A well-known interpretation of Un Amour et Un Faune after Clodion and Delarue, our pair of candelabras depicts a Cupid and a Satyr seated on tree stumps. The two characters hold in their hands two cornucopias forming sconces in chiseled and gilded bronze with the attributes of the vine. These candelabra were inspired by original works created in 1770 by Clodion (for the Satyr) and by Delarue ( pour l'Amour), a copy of which is on display at the Louvre Museum. Art, Love and Mythology come together in this Pair of Candlesticks which are a French work from the end of the 19th century, around 1880 DELIVERY 40 EUROS
