Object description :

"Silver Chalice, France, Lyon 1819-1838"
The chalice rests on a circular profiled ogee foot decorated with four rosettes. The embankment is embellished with oblong cartouches decorated with symbolic elements of the Eucharist: the glorious cross is accompanied by reeds, ears of wheat, bunches of grapes and lotuses. The stem bears an ovoid knot accosted by rings, adorned with a string of pearls. It retains the same decor shown on the terrace. The tulip cup is fully gilded.
