A child playing the flute" by Leo Bernhard Eichhorn (1872 Lvov / Russian Empire - 1957 Buenos Aires).
 Beautiful original Art Nouveau work by Austrian historical and genre painter Leo Bernhard Eichhorn (1872 Lemberg / Lviv - 1957 Buenos Aires).
Stud: Fine Art Academy Vienna, since 1889 by August Eisenmenger, since 1894 by Kazimierz Pochwalski. 1903 member of the Viennese artists' union "Kuenstlerhaus". He was awarded the Archduke-Carl-Ludwig-Medall for the Emperor Ferdinand II triptych (1910, Vienna, Hofburg) and became the popular court painter. During World War I, around the beginning of 1917, Eichhorn served in the Viennese Infantry Regiment No. 4 "German Greats and Masters". He was registered in August as a war artist in the art group of the kuk quarters of war press. His frontal excursions took him to Transylvania and to the Italian front. During the Nazi era from 1938 in exile in Buenos Aires, renowned artist here, painted mostly history paintings and genre scenes with folk motifs (pilgrimage; church attendance in the Bukovina region, published from Galicia and Ruthenia in 1913. Together with the painting The Press (1908) his HW.in Vienna was auctioned in 1984.
