"Mahogany Tambour Chiffonniere Table, Louis XVI Period - 2nd Part Of The 18th Century"
This oblong mahogany chest of drawers opens with three identical drawers, with massive turbulent fronts, fitted with pull rings with plates and authentic functional locks with rear keys. These drawers, assembled with dovetails, are separated from each other by a board that covers the entire depth. Note on these interiors in solid oak. The uprights of the belt are slightly domed and protruding. They are profiled on four turned feet, with flanges, slightly more important in the lower part. This base, which has an intermediate kidney-shaped shelf with a concave front face, ends in turned spindle legs with brass shoes and castors. Sides and back are vertical mahogany veneer. The top of this piece of furniture is topped with a very pretty Carrara marble, surrounded by an openwork overflow gallery in brass, with a small bead on the front. This completely authentic tambour table will appeal in particular for its size, it will make, for example, an elegant bedside table or a very practical occasional piece of furniture.
