Large patinated bronze sculpture depicting Narcissus naked by Michele Amodio, after the antique original discovered in 1862 in Pompeii in the House of Narcissus and currently kept in Naples. Narcissus was a hunter in Greek mythology who stood out for his beauty. He is depicted standing, head bowed and hand raised. He wears a floral crown on his curly hair and a goatskin on his shoulder. He wears high Spartans. The ephebe rests on a round stepped base decorated with water leaves. The work is signed on the embankment: M. Amodio Napoli.
