"Terracotta, Djenné Culture, XI - XIVth Century, Mali"
Oblong-shaped terracotta with a snake and chevron decoration. Two holes are present (one at the bottom and the other at the top. The function of this object is unknown, perhaps it was for religious or funerary use.
It is a very beautiful testimony to ancient African art.
