Clément Gontier, (1876-1918) French School He studied painting at the School of Fine Arts in Toulouse, before joining Jean-Paul Laurens' studio in Paris.
From 1895, he participated in the Salon of French artists. In 1900, he took lessons from the painter Benjamin Constant. Clément Gontier had his first success in 1901 when he won the second grand prize during his participation in the Prix de Rome.
