Magnificent rug from Anatolia or Georgia, similar to Caucasian rugs in decor and knotted by the Kazaks in perfect condition.
This 125 cm wide by 175 cm long woolen village-produced rug features bright colors specific to these regional rugs, knotted in the countryside and inspired by old models from the Ottoman Empire and the Caucasus.
An important juxtaposed medallion, presenting an octagon placed in a square, itself placed in an inverted square on a red field strewn with stylized flowers.
The whole is strewn with stylized flowers and geometric patterns as well as numerous Kotchaks (horns of stylized rams) of orange, white, red, green, and blue colors of the most beautiful effect.
The border presents a line of ethnic motifs on a green background set in two braids symbolizing water, eternity.
Kilim-style finishes at both ends followed by fringes. An ethnic carpet of the most beautiful effect, knotted in the 70s and presenting a beautiful patina, in perfect condition.
This rug has been professionally cleaned and environmentally friendly.
