"Robert Blancher (1895-1975), Email In Grisaille Representing The Virgin Mary"
Very beautiful religious enamel representing the portrait of the Virgin Mary. This enamel is signed lower left R. Blancher for Robert Blancher (1895-1975), son of the great Limousin master enameller Ernest Blancher (1855-1935). The mention "Limoges" is indicated at the bottom right. Superb work in grisaille on a bronze background, extreme finesse in the details. Our enamel is in perfect condition, it is presented in an architectural wooden frame in the Byzantine style of gold color with wear on the reverse (see photo).
