Very beautiful old painting representing a seaside village in Normandy painted by E Valin in 1881. This painting is very well painted with an animated scene with in the foreground a boat in the port, a typical half-timbered fisherman's house, and in the background a view of the coast with sailboats. The colors used are very soft. Rich and deep Barbizon frame in wood and gilded stucco. This is the second painting of a pair, see our gallery. A badly filled and badly repainted hole and a small accident in the frame (see photo) Epoque XIX th century.
