Beautiful inkwell of circular section in mahogany and rich ornamentation of chiseled and gilded bronzes with the attributes of the sea: the goddess Amphitrite riding dolphins, trident and tritons it rests on three ball feet, it opens with a small belt drawer The tray has four cavities accommodating two sponge trays, an inkwell, an hourglass and four penholders The shaft is topped with a large star grip button in good general condition, small wear to the woodwork Empire period work early 19th century height 23cm diameter 20cm
