An important mahogany and gilt bronze chest of drawers in the Louis XVI style, after the 18th century model by Guillaume Benneman for Queen Marie-Antoinette. Opening with three belt drawers and two leaves richly decorated with gilded bronzes in an arc, revealing 6 drawers. Very rich ornamentation of gilded bronzes and chiselled foliage scrolls, a central medallion on the front and two side medallions in gilded bronze relating the childhood of Bacchus according to Clodion. Fluted and rudented uprights in bronze, spinning top feet with palmette hooves in gilded bronze. Dimensions: H92cm X W180cm X D62cm
