Japanese short sword, wakizashi
Japan, 19th century, Edo period (1603-1868) 
Total length: 50cm ;
Blade length: 42.5cm; Nagasa: 31.5cm
Blade weight : 248 grs


Blade (sugata): slightly curved, with Toran ha. temper line.
Copper habaki.
The spindle is in white shagreen, braided brown, with a pair of menuki representing jingaza weapon hats.
Fuchi- Kashira en suite featuring foliage and a stirrup topped with a silver moon.
Iron tsuba, pierced and engraved with lines.
Black lacquered wooden scabbard (saya).
Alloy Kozuka decorated with foliage and birds (reported).

Good condition.
