Gustav Adolf II of Sweden. large 17th century silver medal. Gustav II Adolf of Sweden was King of Sweden from 1611 to 1632. He was the son of King Charles IX of Sweden and his second wife, Christina of Holstein-Gottorp. He is considered one of the most important Swedish kings of all time. The medal is dated 1631 and has a very thin, barely perceptible hanging hole. and that does not detract from the beauty of the piece 5.5 cm in diameter
