"Charming White Veined Alabaster Bust Of A Young Pierrot With Large Collar, By Pugi Guglielmo"
A charming bust of Pierrot in white veined alabaster at the end of the 19th century by Pugi Guglielmo (1850/1915), he is smiling on his sheath and wears a large and demonstrative ruff (this wide pleated collar) and a cap on his skull letting her curly hair appear on the edge. It's a smiling child leaving his mouth open revealing his beautiful teeth. His eyes wide open look at you; he has a regular nose and a plump youthful face shape. The head is reported to be whiter than the rest of the nuanced veined sculpture. The statue is slender, we can see at the front on the base the symbols of the Italian "Comédia del Arte" as it should be and the signature on the right side Pugi. A pleasant piece full of charm and a well finished decorative sculpture full of slender symbols ... It takes us back to our early childhood ... It is made of Alabaster from the family of soft limestone marbles ....
