"Flowering Trees By Terlikowski"
Exceptional oil by Wladimir de Terlikowski Polish painter ben in 1873 in Poraj (powiatr de piotkow) near Warsaw and died in 1951 in Paris. The eldest of a family of 13 children, he has been drawing since his childhood. He goes through the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, Paris and the Mediterranean. Portraitist he lives from his painting. Back in Paris at the beginning of the century, he worked and settled in the Montparnasse district where he rubbed shoulders with Modigliani, Vlaminck, Derain, Foujita. In 1908 he arrived in Auvergne first at Besse in chandesse (puy de dome) then moved to Murol to join the painters grouped around Abbé Boudal and Victor Charreton. In 1913 he exhibited at the Bernheim Jeune gallery on the theme: snow in Auvergne. It shows 14 views of Murol. Thereafter his career will be internationalized. His painting works are made with a knife with many effects of the martieres. He died in Paris in 1954. Here we have a beautiful representation of trees in bloom in spring with magnificent colors and a beautiful generous and well-dosed paste on the canvas. Table signed. And dated 1946.
