This fresco is a project from the 1950s, for a brewery in Dunkirk, from a private collection. It represents a naval battle of the corsair of King Louis XV called Jean Bart, probably before the battle of Texel. It is the work of Gaston André (1884-1070), member of decorative artists who exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Indépendants in Paris between 1910 and 1934.
