"Tony Agostini (1916 -1990) The Blue Pitcher Cubist Gouache Galerie Charpentier Paris"
A prestigious provenance for this gouache with a blue pitcher in the purest Art Deco style. Indeed it comes from the famous Parisian art gallery Galerie Charpentier - today the headquarters of Sotheby's France - located opposite the Elysé Palace which has worked so hard over the years to develop art through multiple exhibitions. An infinite and exceptional palette of pure colors with powerful, very contrasting tones (blues, mauve, gray and beige... skilfully intertwined), the very pronounced influence of cubism characterize our work. Signed lower right in black gouache "Tony Agostini". It bears on the back the period label of the Galerie Charpentier which mentions in ink slightly tarnished by time, the name of the artist, the title of the work "Pichet bleu" as well as its dimensions. Our work is perfectly highlighted by its frame under glass and original beveled passe-partout. Dimensions: 30 cm x 21 cm at sight 53 cm x 44 cm with its frame I let you discover the life of the artist, his encounters with the great artists of his time, in particular Gen Paul and his beautiful artistic career as a painter, lithographer marked out numerous personal and collective exhibitions - notably at the Galerie Charpentier. Perfect condition for the gouache. Its original frame, never touched or opened, bears slight traces of age visible in the photos. Many other objects to discover in my stand at the antique fairs in which I participate. Follow my gallery to be informed of new products and to know the dates of the next Salons... Any questions?
